We give you a small sneak peek to warm you up. Here are some highlights you will encounter along the way!

KeUTenbERG

KeUTenbERG

Climbing the Keutenberg is tough, but on gravel? Even more challenging! Steep, bumpy, and relentless, but absolutely worth it. The tranquil surroundings and the beautiful views make the struggle more than worthwhile. This is South Limburg at its finest!

GERENDAL

GERENDAL

Gerendal is an elongated dry valley to the south of Schin op Geul and is one of the most beloved areas of South Limburg. In the limestone grasslands, various species of rare wild orchids bloom. Sheep graze among the hills, paths wind between hedges full of birds, along wayside crosses and lush forest edges. A single cottage completes the picturesque scene.

castles

castles

While graveling, you come across beautiful castles along the way. Some are centuries old and covered in greenery, while others proudly stand on the hills. Our tip: stop now and then to take a photo. Absolutely worth it!

hollow roads

hollow roads

When cycling through South Limburg, you encounter them everywhere: hollow roads. They are very typical of this region and you rarely find them elsewhere. These hollow roads are indentations or valleys with steep, overgrown walls full of plants, bushes, and trees. The hollow roads are often formed along well-used routes between a village in the valley and the fields and meadows on a higher plateau. Perfect for gravel riding as well!
