RACING ON
MARLY GRAVEL
We have, in collaboration with our route partner komoot, created a fantastic route for the Marly Grav Race! Depending on your category, you will cycle a route of 104 km (two loops) or 150 km (three loops).
Along the way, you will encounter plenty of surprises in the beautiful hills of South Limburg: marly gravel, sunken roads, steep climbs, and lightning-fast descents. Let's race!
To get you in the mood, we are sharing a few unique highlights that you will encounter along the way.
The marl quarries near Bemelen are truly a gem in the South Limburg landscape! These old, carved caves have a rich history and an almost magical vibe. How special is it that we get to zoom past here during the race? A unique opportunity to cycle through such a beautiful and historic setting!
The race begins with the ascent of the iconic Cauberg. So make sure to warm up properly! This climb breathes cycling history, perhaps the most famous leg burner in the Netherlands. Great names have battled it out here, and now it's your turn! Ready to take on the challenge?
Shimano is globally known for top-quality cycling gear. At the Shimano Experience Center in Valkenburg, you can see, test, and experience the latest innovations. It's all about the experience.
It's also home to the Marly Grav Race. This is where it all happens: the start, finish, podium ceremony, and of course, the afterparty!
We have the unique opportunity to ride through the beautiful castle gardens of Château St. Gerlach. Once a twelfth-century monastery, later a home for the nobility, and in the nineteenth century a luxury estate. Today, it is a stylish hotel, restaurant, and conference center, surrounded by historical grandeur and greenery. A place that seems to have come straight out of a fairy tale!
